RECIPES

Want to cook up some killer Caribbean delectibles for a party? Check out these top 5 Caribbean recipes to wake your taste buds.
Ackee and Saltfish
Ackee and Saltfish
a traditional Jamaican dish. It is also Jamaica's National Dish. Its popularity has spread it all across the world,
Salt cod is sautéed with ackee (boiled), onions, peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and may be garnished with crisp bacon and fresh tomatoes.
Jamaican Jerk Chicken
Jerk is a style of cooking native to Jamaica in which meats (traditionally pork and goat, but now including chicken, fish, beef, sausage and even tofu) are dry-rubbed with a fiery spice mixture called Jamaican jerk spice. Jerk seasoning principally relies upon two items: allspice (JamaicanPimento) and Scotch bonnet peppers (among the hottest peppers on the Scoville scale). Other ingredients include cloves, cinnamon, scallions, nutmeg, thyme, garlic, which is mixed together to form a marinade which is rubbed onto pork, chicken, or fish.
